Construction Challenge 5K Run/Walk Raises More than $5,000

March 19, 2008 - More than 300 runners representing at least 20 different countries participated in the Construction Challenge 5K run/walk, March 13, 2008, in Las Vegas, Nev. The race was organized and hosted by Fort Dodge, Iowa-based Maximum Capacity Media, LLC, publisher of Crane Hot Line, Lift and Access, and Industrial Lift and Hoist magazines. March 19, 2008 - After taking on the Pewag Grade 120 profile chains and components three years ago, Randy Gray, parts manager for Construction and Aggregate Products Inc., a lifting gear distributor in Des Moines, Iowa, has seen the product line flourish in industries where tradition takes precedence over technology.

According to Gray, industries such as railroad construction, which relies heavily on traditional methods of lifting, often use cumbersome products that are difficult to work with. Edmonton, Alberta, March 2008 - A truck carrying a load of three forklifts was too tall and hit a girder on a bridge that is a main artery into Edmonton's southside and downtown areas. One of the forklifts was also knocked into the right-hand lane of traffic.
