November 3, 2009 – Amsterdam's Rijksmuseum is currently undergoing a complete renovation of its facilities. The updated art and history museum, home of a Rembrandt collection and masterpieces from Rubens, Brueghel the Elder and many others, will see completion in 2013 after almost nine years of work.
For the transformation, the museum counts on the help of two Linden Comansa cranes, which have been working since last July in the restoration of the main building.

New York, N.Y., October 2009 – The general contractor, crane owner, and operator face fines of up to $25,000 after a crane crushed a sidewalk covering. The accident occurred while workers at the site were dismantling a mobile crane, a spokesperson for the Department of Buildings said. One of the crane's counterweights struck a sidewalk shed, causing part of the structure to collapse. The building's department determined that the partially completed building is structurally stable but placed a full stop work order on the crane.
