Custom aerial lift manfuacturer Man Lift Mfg. Co., Shelby, N.C., has introduced its tallest line of self-propelled, electrically insulated, articulating aerial work platforms.

“These lifts have been designed in response to a growing number of customers in the utilities industry who are frustrated with the difficulty in using a standard bucket truck in certain situations,” said Paul Jensen, director of sales and marketing at Man Lift Mfg. Co. “Companies are realizing that there are alternatives to these products and solutions to the problems they have in the field.”

The new product line includes 45-ft., 60-ft., and 80-ft. articulating electrically insulated boom lifts.

All of the lifts feature articulating jibs for added access flexibility and have the option of a one- or two-person bucket for added efficiency. These lifts do not require outriggers, allow the operator to move the machine when the bucket is elevated, and can work near electrical hazards.

“It’s becoming more and more difficult in the field to use the same old type of equipment, and when we were approached by our partners in this project they had a real concern about the safety and well-being of their workers,” according to Liz Kendrick, Man Lift Mfg. Co. project manager. “They needed a solution to this growing problem, and our team designed the answer,” she said.
