R.S. Audley, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire was awarded the contract for replacement of four northbound lanes of Little Bay Bridge, a nine-span steel girder bridge that carries Route 4, NH Route 16, and Spaulding Turnpike over the Piscataqua River in southeast New Hampshire. Little Bay Bridge carries well over 70,000 vehicles each day and is forecasted to carry 94,000 vehicles by 2025.

Empire Crane Company is proud to announce the promotion of Karl Pitre to the Branch Manager of our Bridgewater, New Jersey location. Karl will oversee the service center and part sales as well as continuing to support our sales team on the road.  

Karl has worked at Empire Crane Company since 2012. When the Bridgewater, NJ branch was opened, Karl was appointed to the service manager position as he had shown great potential and initiative to help build up the branch to serve our New Jersey and New York City customer base.

Construction Spending Flat in May

The Associated Press reports that U.S. construction spending was flat in May with homebuilding falling again, even as buyers face climbing prices and a shortage of available properties on the market.

The Commerce Department reported on Monday no increase in construction spending in May, which follows a report two weeks ago showing that housing starts fell for the third straight month.

July 5,2017 - Caterpillar Inc. announced Doug Hoerr, vice president of the Material Handling & Underground Division (MH&U), has elected to retire from the company. Caterpillar’s board of directors has appointed a new vice president, and the company is also announcing new responsibilities for three current vice presidents.

Terex Cranes distributor CraneWorks has taken delivery of one of the first Demag® five-axle all terrain cranes in the U.S. The AC 220-5 is now available for purchase.
