Manitou Names Hanson Regional VP and CEO for North America

Manitou Group has named Mark Hanson as regional vice president and CEO of Manitou North America. 

"We are excited to welcome Mark at a time when Manitou Group is bringing many new innovative products to global markets," said Laurent Bonnaure, executive vice president of global sales and marketing for Manitou Group. "Mark has a great team in place, and his strong leadership and industry expertise will help Manitou, Gehl and Mustang become market leaders in North America." 

JCB Gives Glimpse of Sub-Compact Telehandler

At the ICUEE 2017 exposition in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 3-5, JCB gave the industry a glimpse of a new sub-compact telehandler it plans to launch early next year.

Although the company kept most information about the new model, named the 503-13 Loadall, close to the vest, it did let out a few tidbits.

Based on JCB's naming convention, it appears the 503-13 will lift up to 3,000 lbs. and have a maximum lifting height of 13 ft.

It is designed to work in very tight spaces, and has an overall height of just 6 ft.

New business volume grew 2.5% in the equipment finance industry in 2016, according to the 2017 Survey of Equipment Finance Activity (SEFA) released by the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA).  The rise in new business volume marked the seventh consecutive year that businesses increased their spending on capital equipment. The SEFA report covers key statistical, financial and operations information for the $1 trillion equipment finance industry, based on a comprehensive survey of 115 ELFA member companies.
