Applied Machinery Sales (AMS-Merlo), Rock Hill, S.C., the official U.S. importer of Merlo telehandlers, has added Emily Ahrens as marketing assistant.

Ahrens comes to AMS-Merlo with more than three years of experience in the marketing industry. She is responsible for helping with all marketing activities, including advertising, website and social media management, public relations, and trade-show coordination.

“We’re thrilled to be growing our team,” says Garth McGillewie, president at AMS-Merlo.  “We put a great deal of time and effort into selecting the right candidate for this important position, and we’re confident that Emily will be a valuable asset to our business and our customers.”

Before joining AMS-Merlo, Ahrens was account coordinator at WME/IMG Strategy and Activations Teams, Global Partnership, where she worked with various well-known clients and helped with event and campaign activations and brand development.

“I am so grateful to be a part of the AMS-Merlo team and am so excited to see what the future holds for the company,” says Ahrens.

Ahrens holds a master’s degree in communication and media studies, with specialization in integrated marketing management from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

Applied Machinery Sales (AMS) distributes the full line of Merlo telehandlers, which offers capacities from 5,500 to 26,500 lbs. and lifting heights from 19 to 96 ft.

AMS is entertaining inquiries from companies interested in joining its growing network of Merlo dealers in the United States.
