Link-Belt Names Elkins, Soper as Marketing Specialists | Construction News

Link-Belt Construction Equipment, Lexington, Ky., has added Brian Elkins and Andrew Soper to its staff as marketing specialists.

Elkins has been named marketing specialist for rough terrain cranes. He will support all rough terrain crane products for customers and Link-Belt personnel.

Elkins joined Link-Belt in 2011 as a cost accountant. Since then, he has earned Lean Yellow Belt and ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certifications. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kentucky Christian University and is currently a master’s candidate in business administration with an emphasis in lean manufacturing and economic decision making at Eastern Kentucky University. 

“Brian’s experience will benefit him as a marketing specialist; he will be an important piece of our future growth,” said Brian Smoot, product manager, rough terrain cranes.   

Soper has been named marketing specialist for lattice- and telescopic-boom crawler cranes. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Kentucky and  comes to Link-Belt with several years’ experience in the heavy moving and crane rental industry.

Soper will coordinate both internally and externally with Link-Belt staff and with customers to support Link-Belt lattice- and telescopic-boom crawler crane products.

“Andrew already has a strong understanding of the heavy equipment industry. His involvement with Link-Belt’s lattice and telecrawler product line will be key as we continue to grow our footprint,” said Scott Knight, product manager, lattice and telescopic crawler cranes.
