New Features on 50-Ton Manitex Boom Trucks Equipped with Jib Option

Manitex Inc., Georgetown, Texas, recently announced that it will now offer a jib-jack as standard equipment on 50-ton boom trucks with an optional jib. Additionally, the company has included its no free-swing option for these machines in oil field service and power grid applications. According to Manitex, these features provide easier setup and better load management for the operator.

"Our 50-ton machines can be operated by a single person, and by offering the jib-jack as a standard value added feature, we provide quicker machine set up and lower operation and overhead costs,” said Randy Robertson, director of sales and marketing for Manitex. “The no-free-swing option will also equip the operator with better control for coil tubing operations and specific power grid applications. The operator will have one less variable to deal with, and be able to focus more on the load and overall lift operations.”
