Perkins' new general manager, global sales and marketing is Bill Giunta; he will relocate from Georgia where he was a commercial manager of Caterpillar's Electric Power Division to Peterborough, UK.
“I’m delighted to be leading the global sales and marketing team during an exciting time for the Perkins brand,” said Giunta. “We’re working closer than ever before with our customers around the world, supporting both the integration of our machines into their applications, as well as on collaborative marketing activities, to ensure we’re all successful in today’s competitive marketplace.
Guinta continued: “Across the sales and marketing team, we’re acutely focused on our customers’ needs. Our customers are our priority; so at next month’s ConExpo-Con/Agg 2014 in Las Vegas, I along with members of the team will be spending time with and supporting our industrial OEMs who are showcasing their latest Perkins powered machines at this global event.”
Michael Wright, who had interim responsibility for the sales and marketing operation in recent months, pending Bill’s appointment, has taken up a position as Perkins’ business development director.
