Loegering Unveils Interchangeable Track System for AWPs

The QTS-Quad Track System drive units can be interchanged with the tire-wheel assembly on the boom lift.
January 30, 2007 • Loegering Manufacturing, Inc., Casselton, N.D., has introduced the QTS-Quad Track System for certain aerial work platforms. Genie Industries informed Lift and Access that the QTS-Quad Track System is approved for aftermarket use on its S-60 and S-65 telescopic boom lifts. Loegering has plans to seek approval to implement its system on bigger Genie booms as well. The company also intends to pursue usage approval from other aerial work platform OEMs.

The QTS-Quad Track System's individual drive units can be interchanged with the tire-wheel assembly by simply removing those parts and bolting the tracks on to the existing torque hub. The wider footprint and inherent traction provided by track system will extend work seasons, minimize turf disturbance, and improve traction in sandy or muddy applications. The system relies on the proven technology of the VTS-Versatile Track System, which is currently used on a variety of skid steer loaders.
