
Zurich Names New Construction Group Leader

Global property and casualty insurance provider Zurich, Schaumburg, Ill., has named Scott
Rasor head of Zurich North America Commercial's construction group. Rasor
previously served as senior vice president for construction, specializing in
residential and specialty risks. He will be based in Schaumburg.
“With his wealth of
experience with both Zurich and the construction industry, Scott will be a
strong and valued leader of our construction business,” said Steve Rand,
president of Zurich North America Commercial's customer industry segments. “We
look forward to [his] continuing to grow Zurich's market-leading position in the
construction industry.”
Rasor joined Zurich
in 1995 as a liability major case supervisor in claims. After a variety of roles
spanning 16 years, he then moved to underwriting where he held several roles of
increasing responsibility. Prior to his most recent appointment, Rasor served as
head of market for architects and engineers as well as residential products such
as the homebuilders protective and volume builders policies. He was also
responsible for underwriting and the technical quality of the subguard,
construction pofessional liability, property & builders risk and project
risk insurance serving the large and middle market segments of construction's
portfolio.
