IEDA Adds Three to Board of Directors and Promotes One

The Independent Equipment Dealers Association (IEDA) announced the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors. Michael Cole from Cole Equipment located in Ada, OK, Kiki Brignoni from Heavy Equipment Inventory located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Mike Pentz from Calvin Group located in Loveland, CO, were inducted into the association’s Board of Directors during IEDA’s February 18-20, 2018, Annual Meeting and Expo in Orlando, Fla.

Attendance at The Rental Show 2018 Reflects Positive Outlook for Rental Industry

The positive forecast for steady growth in equipment rental revenue was reflected on a busy trade show floor at The Rental Show® 2018 in New Orleans, as well as in the numbers of attendees and exhibitor personnel that were at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from Feb. 18-21.

The total number of attendees at The Rental Show was 6,047, with 2,657 rental businesses represented. When combined with exhibitor personnel, total attendance for 2018 was 12,066.

First Potain Hup 32-27 Self-Erecting Crane Delivered in Iceland

BYGG has taken delivery of a Potain Hup 32-27, the first one delivered to its home country of Iceland.

The company has already placed the newest-generation, self-erecting crane on a job site in Reykjavik, where it is helping to build a residential development.

BYGG specializes in building residential real estate and chose the Hup 32-27 for its 4 t capacity and 32 m maximum radius. The Hup range has been especially beneficial for these types of construction projects due to its ease of transport, quick set up time and easy-to-use, remote-controlled operating system. 

Diggerland USA Releases New Scissor Lift Ride, Elevation Station

For the average person, taking a joy ride up in an aerial scissor lift, traditionally used in building maintenance, warehousing, and construction, might just be a fantasy. Leave it to Diggerland USA to make dreams come true with their release of the third out of five new attractions being added for their upcoming 2018 season. “Elevation Station,” which seats five guests across a 6 foot wide by 20 foot long operating platform, will raise the thrill seekers up into the sky, reaching a maximum height just under 60 feet.
