Danfoss Updates Programming Platform for Intelligent Control Systems

Danfoss released their latest version of PLUS+1 GUIDE and Service Tool, version 10.1.

The PLUS+1 platform helps overcome programming challenges and time-consuming parts of building intelligent control systems into machines. This platform allows users to leverage engineering expertise to accelerate development.

Version 10.1 features an enhanced screen editor allowing for faster UI creation with the updates to the configure object interface. The STRING data type is now supported for a number of GUIDE components along with debugging and Service Tool support.

ARA Increases Rental Revenue Projections to Reach $64B Annually by 2022

MOLINE, Ill. - The American Rental Association (ARA) adjusted its five-year forecast to project that U.S. equipment and event rental industry revenue will continue to grow on an annual basis, resulting in total revenue of $64.1 billion in 2022.

The May 2018 update of ARA’s quarterly Rentalytics report is the first to project larger increases in revenue across the board, after the past few years showing minor fluctuations. The latest update expects revenue to total $52.3 billion in 2018 instead of the $51.5 billion forecast in February.

OSHA Seeking Comments on Proposed Crane Operator Certification Rule

WASHINGTON, D.C. – OSHA is seeking public comment until June 20 on its proposed rule aiming to clarify crane operator certification requirements.  

The proposal reinstates the employer duty to ensure that a crane operator is qualified to safely operate equipment, OSHA said. 

J.T. Bates to Offer Damage Protection for Construction Equipment

HILLIARD, Ohio –  J.T. Bates Insurance Group will offer Physical Damage Protection to provide physical damage coverage for equipment financed for sale or long-term lease.

The new service will be available June 25 from the insurance group, which is a division of J. Griffin Ricker & Associates that specializes in risk management products for equipment dealers, rental companies, and material handling equipment dealers.

Deutz Power Centers Are Now Authorized Genie Service Centers

NORCROSS, Ga. – Deutz Corporation and Terex AWP have partnered to make Deutz Power Centers authorized service and parts centers for Genie-branded MEWPs. 

The Deutz Power Center locations in Chicago; St. Louis; Kansas City, Missouri; and Rock Hill, South Carolina are equipped to perform service, warranty, unplanned repairs, and supply service parts for Genie Z and S booms, GS scissors lifts, and GTH telehandlers.
