Genie's Two New High-Float Boom Lifts Designed for Sand, Turf

Genie S-85 HF boom lift

Genie’s new S-80 high float (HF) and S-85 HF telescopic boom lifts are designed to perform heavy-lifting tasks on sensitive ground, such as sand and turf.

Engineered to “float” on soft or delicate surfaces, the Genie S-80 and S-85 HF boom lifts protect softer surfaces that could be damaged by the more aggressive tread of regular rough terrain tires.

The Genie S-80 HF and S-85 HF are currently available in North America. Genie plans to add more HF models in North America and plans to offer the HF line worldwide in the future.

Able Buys Mobile Lifts, Making it Fifth Northeast Location

Able Equipment Rental Inc. of New York purchased the aerial equipment assets and service operations of Mobile Lifts Inc., in Norristown, Pennsylvania.

The location will become the newest branch of Able Equipment Rental, its fifth location in the Northeast. Able will retain most of the Mobile Lifts staff and plans to grow the team immediately. 

Able's newest branch is 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia and accessible by several major roads and highways. The facility is well-situated to service the King of Prussia area and  deliver equipment throughout the region.

Danfoss Power Solutions Introduces CAN Device to Streamline Equipment Operation

Danfoss Power Solutions launched its first CAN rotary device, the HMR CAN Rotary, offering ergonomic, five-finger control to allow operators of off-road equipment including telehandlers to keep their eyes on the road.

United Rentals to Buy BakerCorp

United Rentals, Inc. and BakerCorp International Holdings, Inc. have entered into a definitive agreement for United Rentals to buy BakerCorp for approximately $715 million in cash.

The boards of directors of United Rentals and BakerCorp have unanimously approved the agreement. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of this year.

Teupen Offers New Puma Model in North America

Teupen North America added the PUMA134AX to its product lineup, a machine that offers a unique combination of a high-tech walking excavator chassis with an aerial lift.

The new PUMA134AX offers extreme gradeability with a max of a 45°, and it’s able to set up on a ground slope angle of up to 18°. It has a maximum platform capacity of up to 881 lbs.

Hy-Brid Lifts Appoints Northeast Territory Manager

RICHFIELD, Wis. ­— Custom Equipment LLC welcomed Norman Waterman as its Northeast U.S. territory manager.

Waterman will focus on bringing the productivity, ease of use, and safety benefits of the company’s lightweight low-level scissor lifts to more rental centers and contractors in the area.

“Norman has a visceral understanding of the construction rental landscape, and he knows what customers need to be successful,” said Dan Schneider, Custom Equipment LLC vice president of sales. “We’re looking forward to seeing him champion our products.”

DEUTZ Power Midwest Expands Coverage Area, Grows Staff

DEUTZ Power Center Midwest added the entire state of Kansas to its existing coverage area, which includes Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, and Northern Indiana.

To better support customers in this large region, DPC Midwest now offers products and services from five locations and has expanded its staff by 40%.  

Manitex Adds Articulating Crane Distributors
