July 16, 2019 – Hy-Brid Lifts announced that they have hired Nik Fleischfresser as the national account manager.

Fleischfresser will also cover Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. He will focus on national account customers, along with regional sales growth and channel development of Hy-Brid Lifts, Custom Equipment’s line of lightweight low-level scissor lifts.

July 16, 2019 - Perkins has extended its Perkins Ecoplus range of filters with the addition of a newly designed oil filter. 

The Perkins Ecoplus oil filter has been fitted on the new EU Stage V Perkins Syncro 3.6 and 2.8 liter engines. Previously utilizing a spin-on oil filter across its engine range, Perkins has taken the opportunity to upgrade the filter as part of the design work undertaken on the new engine range. 

Doosan Bobcat Opens New Global Collaboration Center in Minneapolis

July 16, 2019 – Doosan Bobcat officially announced the opening of a new Global Collaboration Center in downtown Minneapolis.

The center will house some elements of the company’s global functions and provide a central meeting location to allow teams to work closely to accelerate innovation and collaboration.

Technicians Troubleshoot, Perform Maintenance at Terex Utilities Service School

July 16, 2019 – Equipment technicians from Australia, India, Indonesia, Canada, and the United States received hands-on service training at the 35th Annual Terex Utilities Service School held in June at Lake Area Technical Institute.

During the three-day event in Watertown, S.D., 48 participants rotated through their choice of 18 stations. Stations included training on specific aerial devices, digger derricks, and auger drill models, components, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

July 16, 2019 - Built on their next generation X-Series platform, Pettibone introduced the Extendo 1246X telehandler, a workhorse that delivers 12,000 lbs. of load capacity.

The 1246X is powered by a 117-hp Cummins QSF 3.8 Tier 4 Final diesel engine. Mounted on a side pod, the engine offers easy service access, while allowing curbside visibility and ground clearance of 19 in. A 30-gal. fuel tank provides ample volume for a full day’s work at 100% load.

July 9, 2019 - MEC Aerial Work Platforms extended its micro scissors offering and line of DC electric slab scissors with the new Micro 26 slab scissor lift, which enables work up to a 32 ft. smaller footprint for easier access and maneuverability.

According to the company, MEC’s Micro 26 has a length of 74 in., putting it at the top of its height class with a compact size almost 2 ft. shorter than other 26 ft. scissor lifts in the market.

There’s still time for companies to enter their new products and services in the 2019 Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Platforms (LLEAP) Awards, presented by Lift and Access magazine.

The deadline for entries to the annual program that honors the latest innovations in lifting and access equipment has been extended to July 26.

This year’s awards will recognize products that have been introduced into the North American market between June 1, 2018, and May 31, 2019, and are currently available for purchase in North America.
