Crane Burns After Power Line Accident

Town of Florida, N.Y., June 2012—Some 1,700 utility customers lost power for about an hour when a crane working in a stone quarry accidentally tore down a high-voltage electrical line. After the crane’s boom snagged the line, one of the crane’s tires quickly caught fire. The operator leapt from the cab before the rest of the crane went up in flames. – www.cbs6albany.com
