David Round Launches Clean Room Strap Hoists Series

The David Round Company, Solon, Ohio, has introduced a new series of strap hoists for clean room use. The hoists meet the needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers with Class 10,000 environments, as well as food processors and electronics manufacturers.

All external components are polished stainless steel. Gearing is sealed with food-grade lubrication. By employing a polypropylene lifting strap, the hoists eliminate potential contamination associated with surface lubrication of chain or wire rope hoists. Additionally, contamination by metallic dust and other particulates caused by chain abrasion or wire rope wear is eliminated. The hoists feature smooth ground welds, flush mounting faces, and plugged fasteners to help reduce the likelihood of contamination.

David Round clean room strap hoists are available to accommodate loads up to 4,000 pounds. Options available include hook travel limit switch, single phase wiring, variable speed operation, stainless steel push or motorized trolley, or complete overhead systems.
