Link-Belt Names New Dealers in Hawaii, Louisiana | Construction News

Link-Belt Construction Equipment Co., has named Doc Bailey Cranes & Equipment of Hawaii Inc. as the authorized crane distributor for Hawaii and Doggett Crane Services as the authorized crane distributor for Louisiana.

Doc Bailey Cranes & Equipment Inc. was founded in 1986 by CEO and President Doc Bailey as a mobile diesel repair shop in Oakland, Calif. Since then, Doc Bailey has expanded its operations to the Pacific Islands, with a distributorship based in Kapolei, Hawaii.

“We are excited about the opportunity of bringing Link-Belt’s product range into the Hawaiian Islands,” said Bailey. “Link-Belt has a strong reputation in this area and we feel that matched with our service record we will be a great fit,” said Doc Bailey.

Doggett began primarily as a John Deere Construction and Forestry dealer in Louisiana, growing its operation into what is now one of the largest John Deere dealership groups in North America. Today, Doggett is positioned as the premier construction and forestry related equipment and service provider in Louisiana. Doggett Cranes Services will operate three Link-Belt locations in Louisiana, including headquarters in Baton Rouge, with branches in Lake Charles and Shreveport.

“Link-Belt’s crane offering continues to be well positioned for the Louisiana crane market. Their reputation both in terms of production and service were key in our decision to team up with them in this area,” said Owner Leslie Doggett. “The good folks at Doggett tenaciously strive to be the service and support supplier of choice to heavy equipment users and now, crane users, throughout the state of Louisiana. That is, to provide repair and maintenance services on all competitive brands on a guaranteed and measureable basis which, in the end, allows the end user to spend more of his time on his direct business requirements/needs while allowing Doggett to become his trusted equipment specialist/partner.”
