During the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) Annual Conference, April 21-25, the association elected Paul LeFebvre, LeFebvre & Sons, Inc., Elk River, Minn., as president.
Joining LeFebvre as officers for the 2009-2010 term are:
- Chairman: Randall Goddard, Atlas Industrial Contractors, Ltd., Columbus, Ohio
- Vice President: William Stramer, Link-Belt Construction Equipment Co., Lexington, Ky.
- Treasurer: Bill Keen, Keen Transport, New Kingstown, Pa.
- Assistant Treasurer: David Lowry, Bennett Transportation, McDonough, Ga.
Also joining the board are four newly elected group chairs:
- Allied Industries Group: David Wood, WHECO Corporation, Richland, Wash., who returns for another year
- Crane & Rigging Group: Ron Schad, Essex Crane Rental Corp., Buffalo Grove, Ill.
- Transportation Group: Ron Montgomery, Intermountain Rigging and Heavy Haul, Salt Lake City, Utah
- Ladies Group: Linda Curran, J.J. Curran Crane Company, Detroit, Mich.
Additionally, SC&RA elected the following six new board members to serve three-year terms:
- Joe Bob Joyce, Joyce Crane, Longview, Texas
- Bill Stramer, Link-Belt Construction Equipment Co., Lexington, Ky.
- Terry Young, Construction Safety Experts, Cary, N.C.
- Geoff Fischer, Trail King Industries, Mitchell, S.D.
- David Lowry, Bennett Transportation, McDonough, Ga.
- Doug Miller, Burkhalter, Columbus, Miss.
With the exception of the board members and the treasurer, all newly elected officers will serve one-year terms that will expire at the association’s 2010 Annual Conference, to be held at Omni Champions Gate, Orlando, Fla., April 6-10.
