The Scaffold Industry Association (SIA) announces approval of the new ANSI/SIA A92.6-2006 Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms standard, which was approved by the ANSI Board of Standards Review on August 1, 2006. The SIA serves as an ANSI-Accredited Standards Developer for the A92 Aerial Platform series of standards.
“The scaffold and access industry welcomes the approval of this standard. The A92.6 subcommittee members have worked diligently to ensure this standard is updated and addresses the continual evolution of aerial platform safe work practices,” said Richard Marshall, executive director of the SIA. “We are excited to announce that both the Standard and Manual of Responsibilities are now available.”
Both the ANSI/SIA A92.6-2006 Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms standard and the new Manual of Responsibilities are available for purchase on the SIA's website, www.scaffold.org.
