At the United Rentals' 2013 Supplier meeting last week in Indianapolis, Skyjack was named Supplier of the Year for 2012. Brad Boehler, president, was presented the award at the event.
Each year, United Rentals recognizes manufacturers that deliver exemplary quality, service, and value. The award is given based on a supplier scorecard using input from all United Rentals' branches. Criteria for the award is based on best practices for sales and technical support, corrective action, responsiveness, and implementation, best product quality and delivery, best system integration at the branch level.
Skyjack has been a leading supplier of scissor lifts, telescopic and articulating boom lifts, and telehandlers to United Rentals for two decades. As the North American rental market continues to recover, Boehler said that Skyjack was flexible and accommodating to the rental giant's ever-changing needs.
“We are proud to receive this award from United Rentals,” Boehler said. “Skyjack aims to supply all our customers with reliable product and support them by being easy to deal with. That we were able to do this with the largest construction equipment rental organization in the world is testament to the commitment of all our staff and the sustainable relationship that Skyjack and United have developed.”
Malcolm Early, Skyjack's vice president of marketing, added that Skyjack values its relationship with United Rentals. "Like all relationships, it's a two-way street, and we like to think that the ability of all our customers to depend on us, whatever the circumstances, is what they value," he said. "Building sustainable partnerships is important to Skyjack."
