Worker Suffers Shock and Burns when Crane Hits Power Line

Bridgewater, Pa., May 2012—A construction worker suffered electrical shock and burns when a crane hit a 23,000-volt electrical line at a bridge project on the Beaver River. The worker was part of a crew erecting a crane on a barge, when a second crane, which was handling parts for the erection crew, contacted the high-voltage lines. The injured worker was taken to a local hospital, then flown to a medical center for treatment. OSHA is investigating. – www.timesonline.com
