Equipment Finders Inc., a construction equipment rental center in Nashville, Tennessee, has expanded its product offering by introducing a fleet of push-around scissor lifts from Hy-Brid Lifts.

The push-around lifts are continuing to gain traction as contractors try to reduce accidents by limiting the use of ladders on jobsites.

An estimated 112 million dead trees perilously populate the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The combination of unprecedented drought over the past four years coupled with significant bark beetle infestation has decimated trees throughout the mountain range in California. The severity of the problem pressed Governor Brown of California to issue an Emergency Proclamation in October of 2015 for the removal of dead/dying trees in High Hazard Zones.

Commercial Construction Index Reveals Continued Optimism Among Contractors

Confidence in the commercial construction industry is strong, despite significant concerns around jobsite efficiency and labor productivity, according to the Q4 2017 USG Corporation + U.S. Chamber of Commerce Commercial Construction Index (Index). Released today, the Index shows that optimism remains high in the commercial construction industry, with 57 percent of contractors expecting to hire in the next six months and a large majority reporting stable or increased revenue expectations in the next year. The Q4 composite score is 74, up one point from Q3.
