Companies that want to enter their innovative new products in the 2017 Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Platforms (LLEAP) competition have until June 15, 2017, to complete the online entry form.

Organized by Lift and Access magazine, the LLEAP awards recognize new or updated products whose innovation advances the state of the industry and delivers benefits to users.

Xtreme Up-rates Telehandler to 70,000-Pound Capacity

Xtreme Manufacturing is up-rating its new XR6538 rough-terrain telehandler into the XR7038. Introduced at ConExpo 2014 as the Xtreme XR6538, the machine has since undergone full testing and has been up-rated to a lifting capacity of 70,000 lbs.

Lift and Access magazine is seeking entries for its 2013 Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Platforms (LLEAP) Awards competition, the seventh year of the award program. LLEAP judges will evaluate and honor innovative products that were introduced to the industry between April 1, 2011, and Feb. 28, 2013. Products considered must be new, innovative, and beneficial to the state of the lifting equipment and access industry.

CLEVELAND — ALT Sales Corp., headquartered in Richfield, Ohio, joined the Manitex Articulating Crane Distribution Network in the United States and abroad as its newest retail distributor.

ALT Sales Corp. is a member of the ALL Family of Companies, a privately owned heavy lift equipment rental and sales enterprise in North America, and Manitex International is an international provider of truck and knuckleboom cranes.

Crane Industry Services LLC (CIS) moved to a larger facility in Georgia to accommodate its growing skills assessment and training programs, as well as added two new staff members.

The new Centered on Safety Training Center is located at 2692 Hwy. 27 N, Carrollton, Georgia. The 8,892-sq.-ft. facility is situated on about 3.5 acres, convenient to the Atlanta airport, West Georgia, and Birmingham, Alabama.

VANCOUVER, Wash. - Microcranes Inc. introduced its new hydraulic pick-and-carry portable crane, the ISO-certified M1 Global model.

The M1 Global design fits through 36-in. doorways, narrow aisles, and inside elevators, yet expands to boom up to a 22-ft. tip height.

Requiring no license for operation, it is rated at 2,000 lbs. (905 kg) and has a hook height of 20’3” (6.1 m). It is 30-in. (762 mm) wide and weighs 1,800 lbs. (816 kg) with 300 lbs. of removable counterweights.

First Potain Hup 32-27 Self-Erecting Crane Delivered in Iceland

BYGG has taken delivery of a Potain Hup 32-27, the first one delivered to its home country of Iceland.

The company has already placed the newest-generation, self-erecting crane on a job site in Reykjavik, where it is helping to build a residential development.

BYGG specializes in building residential real estate and chose the Hup 32-27 for its 4 t capacity and 32 m maximum radius. The Hup range has been especially beneficial for these types of construction projects due to its ease of transport, quick set up time and easy-to-use, remote-controlled operating system.
