Companies that want to enter their innovative new products in the 2017 Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Platforms (LLEAP) competition have until June 15, 2017, to complete the online entry form.

Organized by Lift and Access magazine, the LLEAP awards recognize new or updated products whose innovation advances the state of the industry and delivers benefits to users.

Xtreme Up-rates Telehandler to 70,000-Pound Capacity

Xtreme Manufacturing is up-rating its new XR6538 rough-terrain telehandler into the XR7038. Introduced at ConExpo 2014 as the Xtreme XR6538, the machine has since undergone full testing and has been up-rated to a lifting capacity of 70,000 lbs.

Lift and Access magazine is seeking entries for its 2013 Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Platforms (LLEAP) Awards competition, the seventh year of the award program. LLEAP judges will evaluate and honor innovative products that were introduced to the industry between April 1, 2011, and Feb. 28, 2013. Products considered must be new, innovative, and beneficial to the state of the lifting equipment and access industry.

 

Palfinger Inc. President Woody to Retire, be Succeeded by Arkilander

Mark Woody, Palfinger Inc.’s president and vice president of sales and marketing – Americas, will retire March 31 after 25 years of service to the company. 

Woody joined Palfinger Inc. in 1993, when the company’s Niagara Falls facility had about 11 employees. Today the company has about 1,000 employees across North America, including a core group that Woody has mentored since the beginning. 

Manitowoc to showcase the Shuttlelift SCD15 at The Rental Show 2018

Manitowoc Cranes will showcase the Shuttlelift SCD15 at the 2018 edition of ARA’s The Rental Show, which will take place in New Orleans from February 18 – 21. The crane manufacturer will occupy booth #3021 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Manitowoc debuted the 15 USt carrydeck crane at last year’s The Rental Show, and in 2018, the company aims to once again show customers how the SCD15 was designed with the rental market in mind.

When most people think of the massive San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, few even consider it could have tight working spaces. But Golden State Bridge Inc. and Bigge Crane & Rigging knew working underneath the 30 acre bridge spanning from San Francisco to Oakland would present certain lifting space and access challenges. New Maeda CC1485 Telescopic Boom Crawler Crane Now Available

After making its American debut earlier this year at ConExpo 2017, Maeda USA is pleased to announce that its new Maeda CC1485 Telescopic Boom Crawler Crane model is finally available for sale and rental in the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

The CC1485, which replaces Maeda’s LC785 model, features a 6.6 ton (6.0 mt) max lift capacity, 98“ (2.49 m) width, heavy duty steel undercarriage, hydrostatic transmission, no-outrigger design with a 72.2' (22.0 m) maximum hook height and near-zero tail swing.

Canada’s First Grove TMS9000-2 Saves Hours on the Job for R&D Crane Rental

When Manitowoc introduced the Grove TMS9000-2 in February of 2017, it also revealed the mantra behind the crane’s design: lighter, longer, stronger. It was these very same attributes that led R&D Crane Rental (R&D) to be the first company in Canada to take delivery of the new-model truck crane.
