Hy-Brid Lifts Hires Southeast Territory Manager

RICHFIELD, Wis. – Custom Equipment LLC welcomed Dave Sluis as its Southeast U.S. territory manager.

Sluis is focusing on continuing the growth and channel development of Hy-Brid Lifts, Custom Equipment’s line of lightweight low-level scissor lifts.

“There is a lot of growth happening in that part of the county,” said Dan Schneider, vice president of sales of Custom Equipment. “Dave’s experience in this industry and strong leadership abilities are just what we need to ensure we’re meeting the needs of contractors in that area.”

TVH Adds Western Region Sales Manager

TVH in the America’s (TVH) welcomed Gustavo Guzman as the new outside regional manager for the western region.

Some of Guzman’s previous roles include territory manager, where he managed a sales team whose customers reside in Latin America, as well as manager of aftermarket parts operations. 

“I am excited for Gustavo to join our team,” said Chris Aiello, business development manager at TVH. “His experience in the industry and skillset will be a valuable asset to our organization. I look forward to him establishing relationships with our customers within his territory.”

Hy-Brid Lifts Appoints Northeast Territory Manager

RICHFIELD, Wis. ­— Custom Equipment LLC welcomed Norman Waterman as its Northeast U.S. territory manager.

Waterman will focus on bringing the productivity, ease of use, and safety benefits of the company’s lightweight low-level scissor lifts to more rental centers and contractors in the area.

“Norman has a visceral understanding of the construction rental landscape, and he knows what customers need to be successful,” said Dan Schneider, Custom Equipment LLC vice president of sales. “We’re looking forward to seeing him champion our products.”

Manitex Adds Articulating Crane Distributors

Manitex International expanded its articulating crane distribution network to include ALT Sales LLC, headquartered in Richfield, Ohio.

Effective immediately, ALT will begin retail distribution of Manitex articulating cranes, joining the growing network of Manitex dealers across the United States and abroad.

Specializing in the sales, service, and rental of boom trucks, ALT Sales is a member of the ALL Family of Companies, a privately-owned heavy lift equipment rental and sales enterprise with over 30 locations in North America.

Empire Crane Expands Sales Team to Focus on Magni Rotating Telehandlers

Empire Crane added Gene DiCosta to its New England sales team to focus specifically on Magni rotating telehandlers.

Based in Boston, DiCosta will serve customers in Massachusetts and all of New England. He has a background in both internal and external sales. DiCosta says he believes the most important aspect of sales is communicating effectively with customers to meet their needs.

Perkins Engines Names New President, Promotes Outgoing Exec to Caterpillar Role

Perkins Engines Company Limited, based in Peterborough, United Kingdom, appointed Steve Ferguson as president.

The appointment was announced by Ramin Younessi, who had been Perkins president since 2013. Younessi has been promoted to group president of Caterpillar’s Energy & Transportation division.

Haulotte Americas Adds Independent Sales Firm Manager

In this newly created position, Boone’s work will be focused on supporting the independent rep firms within their territories.

Xtreme, Snorkel Name New VP of Engineering Operations

HENDERSON, Nev. - Xtreme Manufacturing and Snorkel appointed James “Jim” Masters to the newly created role of vice president of engineering operations.

Reporting directly to CEO Matthew Elvin, this role has been created as part of an initiative to redefine the Xtreme and Snorkel engineering management duties. Masters will work alongside Jeff Eckhardt, vice president/chief engineer, and they will lead a global product development team of more than 20 design engineers based in the United States, United Kingdom, and New Zealand.

ReachMaster Expands Regional Sales Team

ReachMaster Inc. strengthened its sales organization by adding a new regional sales manager and partnering with Sun Marketing and its eight sales representatives. 

Effective May 1, Dustin Viertel took up the new regional sales manager position with primary responsibility for sales in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas and overall sales in the central United States. 

Viertel comes with a background as construction manager at Bluegreen Southwest as well as sales representative for Sunbelt Rentals in Texas. He will be located in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
