Companies that want to enter their innovative new products in the 2017 Leadership in Lifting Equipment and Aerial Platforms (LLEAP) competition have until June 15, 2017, to complete the online entry form.

Organized by Lift and Access magazine, the LLEAP awards recognize new or updated products whose innovation advances the state of the industry and delivers benefits to users.

WATERTOWN, S.D.  – Terex Utilities plans to construct a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on a 55-acre site to house all of its assembly, fiberglass, paint, and installation for the company’s aerial devices, digger derricks, and auger drills.

By consolidating from 10 facilities to one, Terex Utilities aims to enhance its production efficiencies and improve product lead times.

Founded in 1945 under the Telelect brand, Terex Utilities is a global supplier of insulated utility equipment and customer-focused innovation.

Terex Utilities ships A330 Auger Drill to Antarctica for Scientific Research

In December, Terex Utilities shipped a Model 330 Auger Drill to Leidos, a contractor working for the National Science Foundation in Antarctica. Designed to meet the specific needs of the Antarctic Support Contract, the 330 Auger Drill features a unique mounting configuration and numerous insulation and heating modifications to operate in the extreme environment. The new Auger Drill replaces a Model 330 that has been in service by the contractor since 1990.
