Manitou Shows Off New Rotating Telehandler at WOC

Manitou North America, Waco, Texas, introduced its Maniscopic MRT 2540P rotating telescopic handler at last week’s World of Concrete. The MRT 2540P has a lift capacity of 8,800 pounds and a maximum height of 80’10”. With a maximum forward reach of 61 feet, the telehandler also features hydrostatic transmission, and frame leveling. With a 150-hp Mercedes engine, the machine has three steering modes and four-wheel drive.

Standard features include hydraulic power steering, limited slip front axle and outer planetary hubs. Also standard are road lights, backup alarm, horn and rotating beacon. Left- and right-side mirrors help with visibility from the cab. The standard enclosed cab features an adjustable seat, two hydraulic proportional control joysticks for all hydraulic movements, full instrumentation and a load moment indicator. The telehandler also has a quick fit tool system and automatic attachment leveling.

The Maniscopic telehandler also incorporates four simultaneous or individually controlled stabilizers. The machine operates with two speeds forward and two reverse and reaches a maximum travel speed of 22 mph. The machine has a 53-gallon capacity hydraulic oil tank and a 60-gallon capacity fuel tank.

With an overall height of 10 feet and width of 8 feet, the machine has a turning radius of 14’9” and a ground clearance of 15 inches.
