Tree Worker Suffers Electric Shock when Crane Touches Power Line | Construction News

A tree worker in Tully, N.Y., was taken to a hospital in critical condition from electric shock after the boom of a nearby truck-mounted crane touched an overhead power line. The worker, who was standing on the ground, suffered a severe electric shock as the current  flowed through the crane and truck into the earth. Rescuers reported the victim was not breathing when they arrived. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he remained in serious condition after two days. OSHA is investigating. – www.syracuse.com
