Update: SAF-T Conference Webinar Moved to Sept. 24 | Powered Access

Did you miss the Live SAF-T Conference this year in Nashville? Lift and Access will be providing a live encore presentation of a session held during the conference. Presented by Brad Boehler, president of Skyjack, “Safe Movement of Equipment on Jobsites” will take place at 2 pm EST on Sept. 24. This free webinar is sponsored by the International Powered Access Federation.

In this presentation, Boehler will explore approaches to achieving safe movement of equipment on construction sites. While the emphasis will be on the aerial lifts, a number of the areas discussed will be applicable to equipment in general.

During the webinar, Boehler will present an analysis of equipment accidents and their causes, as well as review risk assessment and common issues to avoid. The role of equipment training, fall protection, and secondary guarding systems will be reviewed.

About Brad Boehler

Since joining Skyjack in 2003, Boehler has progressively held strategic positions, including the previous titles of vice president of engineering and vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to joining the company, Boehler obtained his B.Eng. Sc. from the University of Western Ontario, and holds the designation of professional engineer. He began his career as a military engineer with the Canadian Armed Forces.

In 2006, Boehler was appointed chair of the ANSI A92.6 subcommittee, which is responsible for the U.S. standards on self-propelled elevating work platforms. He remains involved with other global standards development organizations, and holds the chair of the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Manufacturers’ Technical Committee. In 2013, Boehler was elected to IPAF’s board of directors.

Boehler recently completed the Executive Development Program at the Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario, as part of his preparations for assuming his current title as President of Skyjack.
