National Crane Boom Truck Assists Mexican Army Maintain Fleets | Equipment Application

A National Crane NBT40 boom truck is being utilized to maintain the Mexican Army's fleet of tanks and aircraft, and to assist in emergency response work.

The NBT40, with several project completed, most recently helped repair a damaged aircraft. The crane removed a 16-ton engine from the aircraft at 32.8 ft., among other lifts.

Guadalajara, Mexico-based TRACSA Group, an official Grove and National Crane dealer for the past four years, worked with the Mexican Army to select a crane that best fit it needs.

"The army chose this crane because it offers more impressive load charts than its competitors and is made from higher-quality materials," said Juan Mejia, crane manager, TRACSA. "Specifically, the comfortable cab and stronger boom and hoist were major selling points."
