Speakers Wanted for Crane & Rigging Conference in Houston | Industry News

The Crane & Rigging Conference and the Industrial Crane & Hoist Conference (CRC/ICHC) will return to Houston in late 2014. Set to take place Dec. 3-4 at the Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake Hotel, the event will be held adjacent to the Space Center Houston and NASA’s Johnson Space Center.

The independent conference offers education and networking opportunities for safety and risk managers, crane and rigging supervisors, lift directors, project managers, and others responsible for managing crane and rigging operations in construction and heavy industry.

The event organizer is seeking crane and rigging subject matter experts to make 60-minute presentations on topics such as:

  • Craft Labor Shortages, Qualifying Workers, Best Practices for Training Programs
  • Lift Planning, Frequent Crane & Rigging Citations, Accident Investigation Case Studies
  • Overhead Crane Inspection and Repair Techniques, Below-the-Hook Gear, Challenges of Overhead Lifting in Outdoor Environments
  • Tools for Managing Health and Safety Programs, Standards and Regulations Updates

In addition, an opportunity exists to offer a half day hands-on workshop in the Houston area or on site at the hotel.
