Arrowhead Winch hosted its first Authorized Service Center (ASC) Advisory Council meeting this week in Houston, Texas, bringing together 28 representatives from its global network of service partners both in person and online.

The ASC program trains service providers to maintain and repair BRADEN and Gearmatic hydraulic planetary hoists, which are widely used in offshore crane operations. While the program primarily supports the offshore market, many service centers also work with industries such as construction, specialized transportation, ports, renewable energy and mining.

Each ASC location undergoes regular inspections and bi-annual audits to confirm record-keeping, validate inventories and testing capabilities and verify adherence to quality assurance standards. Program requirements also mandate at least two factory-trained technicians at each site. In addition, Arrowhead Winch provides digital access to technical service documentation and parts information to support safe and reliable crane work.

“This is something we have been wanting to do for a long time, and I think it exceeded expectations on both sides,” said Paul Hiltenbeitel, director of sales at Arrowhead Winch. “We consider ourselves fortunate to work with such an amazing group, dedicated to setting the standard in the industry by providing the highest level of service to their customers.”

Participants included representatives from companies such as Altrad Sparrows, Enermech, Hydradyne, Gulf Crane Services, Miguel Mechanical, National Oilwell Varco, Oil States Industries, PT Alatas Crane Service and TOS Global.
