Big Joe Forklifts has launched the WS25-40 high performance lithium-ion stacker, a new walkie straddle stacker designed for tight warehouse aisles and fast-paced production environments. The company announced the release February 24 from Madison, Wisconsin.
The WS25-40 is built for capacities ranging from 2,500 to 4,000 pounds. According to Big Joe, the unit combines compact dimensions with performance features intended to improve maneuverability and reduce downtime in confined spaces.
The stacker incorporates adjustable fast lift and lower speeds to help optimize cycle times, along with fully proportional controls for precise load handling. A standard lithium-ion battery with an onboard charger is included, eliminating routine battery maintenance and allowing for flexible charging throughout the workday.
As warehouse footprints continue to tighten and throughput demands increase, equipment manufacturers have focused on compact designs that maintain speed and control without adding operational complexity. The WS25-40 is positioned to address those requirements through its maneuverability and simplified charging system.
The integrated lithium-ion battery supports opportunity charging, enabling operators to recharge as needed without dedicated charging rooms or battery swaps. The company states that this approach can help reduce downtime and total cost of ownership compared to traditional battery systems.
“The WS25-40 was designed around the real-world challenges our customers face every day,” said Jimmy Anderson, director of product management at Big Joe Forklifts. “From tight aisles to fast-paced production lines, operators need equipment that is compact, responsive and easy to operate. By integrating Lithium-ion technology into a truck designed around the operator, we’re delivering a solution that improves productivity while simplifying ownership.”
Big Joe stated that the WS25-40 reflects its broader focus on lithium-powered material handling equipment as part of the industry’s transition from internal combustion to electric fleets.
Big Joe Forklifts, established in 1951, manufactures material handling equipment for the North American market and distributes its products through a nationwide dealer network.
