California Rental Association Exec Blackwell Passes

Dale Blackwell, California Rental Association executive director and owner of Aba Daba Rents, Sacramento, California, died April 15, 2020, from complications after a traumatic brain injury. He was 65.

Blackwell served on the CRA board of directors and as an officer for 17 years and had been executive director since 2006. He was also the chairman of CRA's insurance committee for 14 years.

In addition to serving the CRA, Blackwell had owned Aba Daba Rents since 2000.

Blackwell is survived by his wife Victoria, five children, four grandchildren, his parents, three younger siblings, and nieces and nephews.

Because of the current risks of COVID-19, the family will hold a celebration of life later this year.

Donations may be made to the Rental Services Industry Foundation, or to a local animal shelter.
