CMC Acquires All Access Equipment in Strategic Move to Increase Business in the U.S.

CMC, a specialist in the construction of tracked aerial platforms, has acquired 100% of All Access Equipment, (AAE) its U.S. dealer.

This strategic move was spearheaded by private equity fund Metrika, which acquired a 70% stake in CMC in October 2023.  CMC began the process of acquiring AAE in December 2022.

The goal of this complete acquisition was to further consolidate CMC's presence in the U.S. market to aim for higher sales in 2024.

Founded by Michele Moretti and Carlo Mastrogiacomo in 1992, CMC designs and manufactures high-technology tracked aerial platforms.

All Access Equipment, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, was founded in 2011 by the Polonski family. It is a provider of sales, distribution, and services for aerial platforms and related equipment throughout North America.

In 2023, All Access Equipment reported revenues of approximately $80 million, employing more than 60 people at its facilities in Wilmington, Massachusetts, and Salem, New Hampshire. The Polonski family will retain management of the company, ensuring continuity and support for CMC as it grows.

Alessandro Mastrogiacomo, CEO of CMC, clarified the strategic importance of this move, and described the acquisition as a milestone in the company's growth path.

"This transaction testifies to CMC's confidence and ambition in pursuing its industrial strategy, supported by its strong partnership with Metrika,” Mastrogiacomo said.

Finalized in late January, this deal allows CMC to preside over and consolidate the U.S. market given AAE's widespread presence in the U.S. through direct offices and dealers.

The tree-care market, which in the U.S. represents an important share of users, has been growing for several years and CMC's aerial platforms represent an ideal equipment for versatility and reliability in this important segment.

According to Metrika leadership, "This acquisition represents a significant step for CMC in consolidating its leadership in the lifting industry, with a particular focus on the U.S. market.”
