Genie President Among Speakers for IPAF Summit 2019

The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) announced its speaker lineup for this year’s Summit, set for March 6, 2019, in Dubai, UAE, and it will include Genie President Matt Fearon and Serious Labs CEO Jim Colvin, among others.

The IPAF Summit takes place on the same day as the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs). It is the first time the event has been held in the Middle East.

The event will also include an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Manlift rental depot in Dubai the following day, available only to those booking to attend the Summit and IAPAs.

Attendees need to register quickly to secure the early-bird discount rate, available until the end of January.

The theme of the IPAF Summit, which brings together representatives from across powered access to discuss and debate the latest developments in our industry, is “Get Ready for Digitalization.”

The confirmed speakers for the event are:

  • Erhan Acar – general manager of Rent Rise
  • Mohsen Ahmad – CEO Logistics District – Dubai South
  • Jim Colvin – CEO of Serious Labs
  • Giles Councell – IPAF’s director of operations
  • Andrew Delahunt – IPAF’s director of technical and safety
  • Matt Fearon – Genie president, Terex AWP
  • Benjamin Legg – vice president, Aecom
  • Murray Pollok – managing editor of Access International 
  • Peter Schrader – MD and COO of Zeppelin Rental
  • Richard Whiting – IPAF’s UK market general manager


A special break-out session on MCWPs will also be held, and it will be led by IPAF’s Ángel Ibáñez and Romina Vanzi, with additional presenters still to be confirmed.

Attendance is free for the IPAF Summit, which brings together senior representatives from across the access community to discuss and debate the latest developments in our industry.

Those wishing to attend the IAPAs celebration dinner can book at a discounted rate until Jan. 31, while a small administrative fee for transportation and refreshments will be charged to those wishing to join the Manlift site visit on March 7.
