Lift and Access Showcase & Symposium to Feature Two Mega Machine Categories

Two product classes have been selected for review at the Lift and Access Showcase & Symposium, which will take place Oct. 24-25 at the Ritchie Bros. auction facility in Orlando, Fla. Guy Ramsey, Maximum Capacity Media president, said that mega boom lifts and mega telescopic handlers will be the main focus at this year’s expanded Showcase.

Co-locating the Showcase & Symposium with one of Ritchie Bros. equipment auctions will add a new set of buyers and users to the event. In addition to the fleet buyers from some of the largest rental companies in the world, Ramsey anticipates a strong showing of major contractors. According to Rob Blackadar, vice president national accounts for Ritchie Bros., said “We are working hard to make sure many of our customers—the largest contractors in the states—are at the event.”

Ramsey said these major buyers will want to see some big iron, and two of the products that fill that bill are mega booms and mega telehandlers. “We are inviting OEMs to bring the biggest boom and telehandlers they have in their product offerings,” he said. “We anticipate that companies like JLG, Genie, Snorkel, Haulotte will have booms from 135 to 150 feet in height on display. On the handler side, we expect products from 15,000 to 36,000 pounds in capacity to be shown from leading suppliers like Manitou/Gehl, Skyjack-Zoomboom, Merlot, Xtreme and Dieci.”

Watch for an announcement on other sizes of machines to be featured in the coming days.
