LiftPoint by Mohawk Lifts has been awarded a U.S. patent covering its LTX and MHX two-post service lifts and mast adapter system, a platform developed for servicing forklifts and other material handling equipment.

The patented lift is designed for warehouse, distribution center and industrial maintenance operations, allowing technicians to service multiple types of material handling equipment on a single platform. According to LiftPoint, the system can be used with all five classes of material handling vehicles, including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks and automated guided vehicles.

The company said the platform is designed to improve technician access by providing unobstructed undercarriage and wheel access while eliminating the need for multiple lifting systems. An optional patented MHX adapter enables equipment to be elevated without engaging all four swing arms, which the company said helps reduce setup time.

“This patent recognizes the engineering behind the LTX and MHX platforms and the real problem they were built to solve,” said Bill Rivett, national sales manager, LiftPoint. “Material handling fleets are becoming more diverse, and service teams need safer, faster, more ergonomic ways to maintain the equipment that keeps warehouses, manufacturing and distribution centers moving. LiftPoint was designed to give those teams one simple platform for the job.”

The LTX/MHX platform incorporates forklift mast-style columns, direct-drive hydraulic lifting technology and adjustable lifting configurations. Additional features include two 4-inch hydraulic cylinders, self-lubricating steel ball bearing rollers, low-profile three-stage swing arms and flexible hydraulic line routing for overhead or in-floor installation.

LiftPoint said the lift is ALI-certified and backed by a 25-year structural warranty. The company said the platform is designed to support technician productivity, equipment uptime and long-term durability in demanding material handling environments.

The newly awarded patent covers both the LTX/MHX service lift platform and mast adapter system, expanding LiftPoint's portfolio of service equipment for material handling fleets.
