Mack Trucks introduced two new technologies designed to improve safety, visibility and vehicle integration during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026: the CommandView situational awareness system and the BodyLink IV chassis-to-body electrical integration system.

The technologies were introduced during the show in Las Vegas, March 3–7.

CommandView Safety System

CommandView is a fully integrated situational awareness system designed to improve visibility around vocational trucks operating in jobsite environments. The system will be available for order for the Mack Granite model beginning in late 2027.

“Mack customers told us about the many challenges they face when on a jobsite, whether they’re blind spot issues or just maneuvering around other vehicles and objects,” said Nicole Portello, senior vice president and Chief Digital Officer of Mack Trucks. “Every job site comes with a different set of challenges. We listened to customer input, and we’re now delivering technology that helps improve safety and productivity through CommandView – setting the stage for what’s next in connected vehicle technology.”

CommandView combines multiple camera feeds into a single 360-degree bird’s-eye display that reduces blind spots caused by high ground clearance, long hoods and vocational body configurations.

The system also features side-view cameras activated by turn signals to improve visibility during lane changes and turning. Optional alerts can notify drivers when people or objects are detected near the vehicle.

Mack also includes an onboard weighing system that provides real-time payload information compatible with all axle configurations.

“Safety, uptime and predictability are central to the success of our customers’ businesses,” said Ashish Sadhu, Mack director of services. “CommandView supports our customers’ needs by pairing intelligent sensing with intuitive driver-centric design.”

BodyLink IV Electrical Integration

Mack also introduced BodyLink IV, a chassis-to-body electrical integration system designed for the Mack Granite model.

The system includes expanded prewiring, programmable switches and dedicated connectors intended to simplify installation of bodies and equipment.

“BodyLink IV is designed to make body installation simpler, safer and faster for body builders and fleet technicians,” said Tim Wrinkle, Mack vice president of vocational and medium-duty products. “When our customers save time, they save money, so knowing this we engineered this enhanced system.”

Features include dedicated connectors, programmable switch functions and customizable body information displayed within the instrument cluster.

“BodyLink IV offers more flexibility and deeper control,” said Alex Lee, Mack senior product manager for vocational and medium duty. “Technicians can quickly check and customize settings, set up custom safety parameters and create templates that keep every truck in a fleet consistent. It’s easy to use and built to keep trucks reliably working.”
