Manitou Group has introduced the MRT 4080, a five-section boom rotating telehandler that provides a 131-foot, 3-inch, or 40-meter lifting height.
The machine is the largest “High Lift” model in Manitou’s current MRT Vision+ rotating telehandler offering. It provides up to 17,630 pounds, or 8,000 kilograms, of lifting capacity and has a maximum outreach of 88 feet.
The MRT 4080 can operate as a telehandler, mobile crane, and aerial work platform. Its adjustable stabilization and ground clearance are designed for setup on restricted and all-terrain worksites.
Manitou’s Telescopic Boom Management system uses hydraulic and electronic controls to independently and automatically control the boom sections.
The machine also has 360-degree turret rotation and cab visibility that allow operators to perform operations without repositioning the machine.
A 155-kilowatt, or 211-horsepower, Yanmar Stage V engine powers the MRT 4080. Its standard Stop and Start function shuts down the engine and associated hour meter when the machine is idling without hydraulic activity or movement, based on a set time. The engine restarts when the operator interacts with the joystick or throttle pedal.
The Manitou Safety System is a load indicating and limiting device. The MRT 4080 also has the Manitou E-RECO attachment recognition system, which automatically sets the correct load charts.
A remote control displays load moment limits while the operator is outside the cab. The machine’s Hydrostatic CVT Transmission automatically adapts and limits travel speed based on the attachment and live load weight.
Available attachments include an extension jib with winch, floating fork carriage, variable speed winch, standard winch, and a slewing extendible platform with winch.
