Sinoboom has officially opened its new production plant in Silao, Guanajuato, marking a major expansion of the company’s manufacturing footprint in the Americas. The grand opening event on November 18 brought together nearly 300 attendees, including senior local government officials and members of the access and rental industries from across North and Latin America.
The Silao base covers 186,667 square meters and is designed to serve as a one-stop manufacturing hub for the region. When fully built out in two phases, the facility will support production of slab and rough-terrain scissor lifts, boom lifts and telehandlers for both the North American and Latin American markets.
Sinoboom Chairman Steven Liu highlighted the plant’s role in the company’s long-term strategy. “This new plant shows our strong promise to be the best. Here, we will produce equipment that delivers superior performance, excellent manufacturability, attractive appearance and convenient maintenance — qualities that define our promise to every customer we serve,” he said.
Local officials, including Claudia Cristina Villaseñor Aguilar, secretary of economy of Guanajuato, and Melanie Murillo Chávez, mayor of Silao, welcomed the investment and noted its economic impact, including the creation of new jobs and strengthened ties between Mexico and China. Leaders from Hunan province also sent a video message supporting the project.
Industry participation included remarks from Randy Hannemann, rental director of Texas-based Lonestar Equipment Solutions, who outlined his company’s experience working with Sinoboom and noted the role of the company’s product range and services in supporting their operations.
During the event, Sinoboom held a strategic partnership signing ceremony with multiple companies from North and Latin America. The company also conducted product handovers and provided a guided tour of the new facility, followed by a customer appreciation dinner.
