Tadano Appoints Tyler Brown as AWP National Business Manager

Tadano has named Tyler Brown as national business manager for its aerial work platform (AWP) business in the Americas, following the recent introduction of the company’s AWP product line in North America.

Brown joins Tadano America with nearly 25 years of experience in the AWP sector, having worked with original equipment manufacturers and rental companies in sales management and executive roles. In his new position, he will lead the North American sales team and support the continued market introduction of Tadano’s AWP lineup across Pan-American operations.

“Building on our renowned reputation in the lifting sector, we first announced at bauma our intentions of introducing a full range of Tadano AWP models engineered for superior stability, safety and efficiency to the North American market,” says Erik Elzinga, Tadano America vice president of AWP business development for Pan-America operations. “We followed through on this commitment for our customers and now have machines operating and available in North America. The addition of Tyler, who offers a wealth of experience in the AWP market, is a key next step in expanding customer support for this business.”

Brown will be responsible for supporting customers as Tadano continues to expand its AWP presence in the U.S. and Canada.

“It is an extreme privilege to join a world-class manufacturer like Tadano and lead our dedicated team to help serve our customers work platform needs,” comments Brown. “Leveraging Tadano’s market-leading expertise in the crane market, our innovative AWP line will provide customers with market-leading products that have no equal.”

Tadano’s expansion into the North American AWP market follows its acquisitions of Nagano Industry Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of self-propelled crawler boom lifts, and Manitex International. The company stated that these acquisitions, combined with Tadano’s lifting expertise, have resulted in an expanded range of boom lift offerings.

The AWP product lineup includes diesel and electric self-propelled tracked and wheeled models with platform heights reaching 67 feet, 7 inches (20.9 meters). Tadano also plans to showcase the AS-63HD telescopic boom lift at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 in Las Vegas. The model offers a 2,200-pound(1-tonne) platform capacity, a platform height of 62 feet, 8 inches (19.1 meters), and a maximum horizontal reach of 37 feet, 4 inches (11.4 meters).

“We welcome CONEXPO-CON/AGG attendees to visit our Festival Lot exhibit, F47010, to meet Tyler and experience how Tadano is utilizing vast experience in the lifting industry to serve the AWP market in a whole new way,” Elzinga says.
