Xtellio, a provider of industrial telematics solutions, is expanding its platform to give companies unified control of data across the full jobsite. The platform now integrates both rugged wireless sensors and wired devices, enabling rental, construction, and utility companies to collect and manage data from a wide range of equipment.
The platform will debut at the American Rental Association (ARA) trade show in Orlando on March 2–3 (booth 4736) and at CONEXPO in Las Vegas on March 4–7 (North Hall booth N11753).
“Telematics originally gained traction in the construction industry in the early 2000s, focusing mainly on heavy equipment,” said Tom Valbak Aardestrup, CEO of Xtellio. “Today, we are pleased to offer a platform solution that moves that model forward, extending visibility across the jobsite environment and advancing data liberation through customer ownership and flexibility.”
Xtellio’s portfolio includes over 32 compact, battery-powered Xenses Bluetooth sensors that can be mounted on smaller fleet assets and non-powered tools. These sensors transmit data to Xtellio’s cloud platform via Xentrals, which are gateways for data collection. The platform also includes the wired Pro-Xentral series — Standard, CANbus, and Heat IQ — connecting directly to powered equipment such as excavators, dozers, skid steers, boom lifts, light towers, and industrial heaters. These devices capture engine hours, diagnostics and other operational data for analysis and management.
Unlike traditional telematics systems that mainly monitor heavy machinery, Xtellio’s platform extends data collection across powered and non-powered assets, offering broader insights and control. Open Application Program Interfaces (APIs) allow companies to integrate Xtellio data into their own business systems, giving them full ownership and flexibility over their jobsite information.
“Organizations of any size who control their own data by structuring it across every asset category will be the ones that move faster, and operate with more efficiency,” Valbak said. “Our customers can easily build their own solutions, front ends and dashboards so they have full control. With AI changing the software space dramatically, it all boils down to the data. We see the Xtellio platform as the place from where the data will originate.”
Founded in 2005, Xtellio has focused on creating modular telematics solutions that bridge physical equipment with actionable jobsite data. The platform is now available across the Americas, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and supports LTE-M, NB-IoT or legacy 2G cellular networks.
