Fassi Unveils Two New Knucklebooms | Construction News

Fassi recently unveiled two new medium-duty models in its XE range of articulating-boom cranes.

The F345A XE-Dynamic and the F345RA XE-Dynamic cranes belong to the HC1 HD5 S2 class (if fitted on trucks), according to the EN12999:2011 standard, and have a maximum lifting capacity of 33.4 tm (241,582 lb.-ft.), with a maximum hydraulic horizontal outreach of 20.5 m (67’3”), which can be increased to 26.7 m (87’7”) in the version with six telescopic boom sections combined with the L214 hydraulic extension.

Barko’s new Strong-Arm Grapples provide a highly productive solution for log handling and delimbing applications. Designed to optimize the performance of Barko B-Series loaders – including all trailer/truck mount, tracked, rough terrain carrier and stationary loader models – the grapples deliver superior rotator torque, clamping force and arm speed.

The Strong-Arm Grapple lineup consists of three models. The 4250, 4850 and 5250 grapples have maximum openings of 42.0, 48.1 and 52.1 inches, respectively, with each rated for up to 50,000 pounds of lift capacity.

September 12, 2017 - Liebherr USA, Co. continues its expansion in the U.S., with the opening of its newest location in Lodi, California to better service customers in the western region.  The Lodi facility operations will include sales, service and repair of new and used mobile, duty cycle and lift version crawler cranes, as well as piling and drilling rigs.

The new Lodi branch will bring Liebherr equipment specialists closer to existing customers and provide localized service to customers in the Western region.

New business volume grew 2.5% in the equipment finance industry in 2016, according to the 2017 Survey of Equipment Finance Activity (SEFA) released by the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA).  The rise in new business volume marked the seventh consecutive year that businesses increased their spending on capital equipment. The SEFA report covers key statistical, financial and operations information for the $1 trillion equipment finance industry, based on a comprehensive survey of 115 ELFA member companies.

Grove Crane Brings Mobility and Smooth Operation to Challenging Airport Lift

La Grange Crane used a Grove GMK5275 all-terrain crane to build an underground water detention system in Rosemont, Illinois, near O’Hare International Airport. The 275 USt crane lifted a series of 9 USt precast segments to construct the system, which will keep stormwater runoff under control for a planned commercial development.

Grove and National Crane to show utility prowess at ICUEE 2017

Manitowoc Cranes will showcase a trio of cranes that thrive in utilities applications at the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition 2017 (ICUEE). At outdoor booth N2021, the company will highlight the Grove GHC30 telescoping crawler crane and a pair of National Crane boom trucks: the NBT45-1 and 890D. All three machines will be outfitted with special attachments to better show their effectiveness in the utilities market, and two of them — the GHC30 and NBT45-1 — will be shown at ICUEE for the first time.
