IPAF to Hold July 15 Webinar on Future of Safe Learning

The International Powered Access Federation will hold a free one-hour webinar about the future of safe learning on July 15, 2020. The webinar starts at noon, London time (7:00 a.m. U.S. Eastern, 6:00 a.m. Central, 5:00 a.m. Mountain, and 4:00 a.m. Pacific). IPAF host Paul Roddis and guest presenters will look at how COVID-19 has affected training and learning in the industry and beyond, how IPAF has responded to this, and how employers and operators can use different technologies to continue to learn safely.

EUFMC Cancels 2020 Conference Due to COVID-19 Crisis

The Electric Utility Fleet Managers Conference announced it is canceling its 2020 event, which had been scheduled for May 31-June 3 in Williamsburg, Virginia. 

The EUFMC Board of Directors said in a statement that the decision to cancel was not made easily, but it was necessary for the health and safety of attendees after closely monitoring COVID-19 developments.

The EUFMC has held its annual event since 1953. In 2019, more than 125 utility fleet representatives attended, along with 350 manufacturer and service provider representatives.

Up Equip Easy Lift 87-48AJ

Montreal-based Up Equip, a North American distributor of the Easy Lift compact lifts, announced it will be holding a demo roadshow leading up to The ARA Show in Orlando, Florida.

The company will make seven stops in the U.S. to provide demo sessions of the Easy Lift 70-36AJ and 87-48AJ models and the Hoeflon C6 mini-crane.

Career Skills Event at ICUEE Connects Students to Industry Jobs

Over the next few years, 20 million skilled employees will retire and to help address these worker shortages, ICUEE 2019 will host a special careers day for hundreds of high school students to see the many rewarding industry careers available.

The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), show owner and producer, has partnered with Bridging America’s Gap to bring the organization’s Career Skills Event to the show on closing day, October 3. ICUEE will take place Oct. 1-3 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky.
