Access Platform Manufacturer MEC Hires Industry Vet Dillon to Manage Operations | Construction News

Access platform manufacturer MEC Aerial Work Platforms, Kerman, Calif., has hired industry veteran Jim Dillon as its new operations manager.

Dillon first made his mark in the powered access industry with UpRight from 1986 to 1999. During his time at UpRight, Dillon served as general manager, president, and CEO while being the prime catalyst of the company’s success.

As operations manager at MEC, Dillon oversees the company's resource management, purchasing, inventory, and production functions, as well as modernization of the company’s manufacturing process.

In just three months with the company, he has already guided the factory to record production numbers. The increased productivity and efficiency have put the company on track to recognize its most profitable year since MEC began manufacturing scissor lifts and booms in California, according to a company news release.
