AICHI Launches New Boom Lifts

AICHI Corporation of Japan plans to launch new wheel-type boom lifts, Skymaster SP400C and SP460CJ, in February 2008. North American models will be unveiled and displayed at The Rental Show in Las Vegas from Feb. 12-14, 2008.

These models are Aichi's second global series and are designed ideal for factory or storehouse construction work and maintenance. The boom lifts feature a wide working range and maneuverability for improved work efficiency. The three-stage boom structure offers compact stowed position, so it allows large working range from stowed position to horizontal outreach without moving the machine. Low stowed position offers maneuverability in confined jobsites that have height restrictions. Short stowed length offers easy parking and improved maneuverability for transportation.

AICHI's proportional control system (upper control box) provides smooth operation. The new “Cartridge system” around the hydraulic hose and electrical harness in the boom offers improved maintenance and can prevent breakage of hose and harness from accidents. A large iron wing cover and engine swing-out system provide improved daily maintenance.

The SP400C has a maximum platform height of more than 39 feet, and a horizontal outreach of almost 36 feet. Maximum platform capacity is 550 pounds. The SP460CJ has a maximum platform height of almost 46 feet with a horizontal outreach of almost 42 feet. Maximum platform capacity is 550 pounds.

The company will focus on standardization of parts and systems and develop new products to meet market's demands in order to expand the global market shares. In addition, it will offer a new quality assurance program. The details of this program will be announced at the show in February 2008.
