Alps Wire Rope Corp. Relocates Corporate Headquarters

Alps Wire Rope Corporation has opened its new corporate headquarters location in Saint Charles, Ill. The mayor of Saint Charles will administer the official ribbon cutting celebration on July 27, 2012.

The additional office and warehouse space of more than 40,000 square feet in the new facility allows for greater efficiency and logistical support for Alps’ distribution network, while allowing for continued future growth.

The new Saint Charles location began operations on June 4. The move involved relocating 14 machines, including the Greenerd 1500-ton capacity press, one of eight swaging presses, which swages up to 3 inch, or 76mm wire ropes. In addition, Alps moved over 30 truckloads of inventory, totaling more than 1,055 tons of wire rope. The project was planned and organized by Alps’ Claude Willis.

Alps continues to maintain all of its four warehouses in Ohio, California, Florida, and Illinois, as well as other distribution locations in Connecticut, Maryland, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas, California, and Colorado. These 12 locations offer support to distributors, and the elevator, oil and gas, construction, and equipment manufacturers that purchase Alps’ wire rope.
