Michigan-based Alta Lift Truck Services and Detroit Forklift have announced that the companies have signed a definitive agreement under which Alta will acquire the assets of Detroit Forklift. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Detroit Forklift, based in Detroit, Mich., was established in 1984 and has earned a reputation in the metropolitan Detroit area for its dedication to customers and thorough, educated service staff. Under the agreement, Alta will retain many of their employees and assets.
“The acquisition of Detroit Forklift will give us even greater service capacity in southeastern Michigan,” said Steven Greenawalt, president and owner of Alta Lift Truck Services. “Alta’s continued growth has been supported by our loyal customers and associates, and we’re excited to welcome Detroit Forklift’s associates and diverse customer base to solidify our leading position as a supplier of material handling equipment and services in metro Detroit.”
