Arrow Material Handling Develops 'Work Safe' Program

Kansas City, Mo.-based Arrow Material Handling (AMH), which manufactures material handling and construction attachments, has received certification that its fork-mounted work platforms are fully compliant with the intent of applicable OSHA standards. In conjunction with this certification, AMH has also developed a comprehensive fork-mounted work platform safety program, Work Safe.

After an exhaustive review of applicable ANSI and OSHA standards, AMH has reduced them to a manageable two-minute inspection of the work platform with the Work Safe program. Each AMH work platform ships with an instruction manual and Work Safe program guide, which includes instructions on equipment inspection and sample forms that can be used to document compliance activity for the work platform and all ancillary equipment.

By following the easy-to-understand program, companies that use fork-mounted work platforms will protect the safety of their employees, operate in accordance with OSHA compliance guidelines and reduce their potential liability for accidents and the resultant lawsuits.

Arrow Material Handling is a wholesale manufacturer of quality work platforms and other attachments for the material handling and construction equipment industries. AMH is committed to providing high-quality attachments to the market and supporting its network of dealers with product support and programs such as Work Safe.
